It also has nothing to do with the paying customer, yet here we are, out of money and out of a game.
Since steam does not allow people to review a publisher or developer on their own, people should feel no qualm about using the only review possibility provided to them to let others now there was a theft of property.
A unknown publisher scammed them and they lashed out on the paying customer, now that we are scammed why should we not lash out at them as well?
They should have targeted the publisher and not us, at least we are targeting the right person since they revoked our keys.
Exactly, Sebastion, couldnt have said it better myself.
If you ever opened the game I believe the store page will have the usual review box available. This also works when you refund the game - just not in cases where you never opened the game for a few minute for obvious reasons.
If you played the game @ all, you can leave a review, even for Trial games like free weekends. I respect your opinion also, everyone can make up their own minds.
Reviews are meant for any and all information that might lead to the choice of whether one should buy a product or not. Defrauding it's own customers out of a product they paid for is a pretty important piece of information that absolutely informs the decision on whether or not to purchase anything from these devs in the future. So it absolutely should be included in a review.
It seems to me that we'll be getting the keys back via Fanatical. Of course it is not optimal that time and effort had to be spent on it, but there was no truly optimal solution when also taking into account that developers might have worked a long time on this game without proper compensation otherwise. Times might be even tougher with this global ongoing 'lockdown festival'. We do not know what situation others are in. It might be more constructive if we just try to be nice.
