April's Fool joke?
To be honest, I turned on steam and saw the same message you all did. I went "Wth? That's weird" and then "Ah, they got me!"

Judging by so many reactions here, did they pulled off the best April's fool joke of 2021?

I mean, of all days to do this, April first?

Have a nice day everyone!

Best april fool's? Most foolish and self-damaging if that was the case. But it ain't, they are completely serious about it, which makes it even worse for them. Sketchy devs.
Yeah, seems they are a bit shady as hell. Like most I got this in an origin bundle back in 2018, never got the opportunity to play it, but the message today while playing Yakuza 6 caught me by surprise, at first I thought it was perhaps someone trying to pretend it was their key, as I doubt Fanatical sell dodgy keys, then I got in contact with Fanatical and Steam and both told me it was the Developer/Publisher making the claim.

Doubt we will see any response from them on here.

Yeah, this was a great joke. I'm just laughing and laughing and laughing and making sure that I never buy anything from this developer again.

Actually the developer is stating we'll get the key back via Fanatical. I'd recommend to just give them some time to resolve it.

why revoke the keys at all? there is no good reason for revoking keys 3 years after the supposed issue. the dev is being scamy. they called fanatical a third party site. stop defending scummy devs
