Terrible Devs
Because you got swindled about some 3rd party keys, the community is supposed to take the loss with you? This is a weird hill to die on for a developer with nothing to offer besides a 5-year-old sprite game.

I could care less about the game, maybe it could be enjoyable for someone who shares my account, but there's 1000 games like it on the market.

At the end of the day, did you get your money back from being scammed years ago?
Probably not. You ruined your reputation and made the community question Valve's practices going forward for the next scammed dev. That's about it.

Valve isn't at fault here. The devs asked Valve to revoke the keys..so Valve did. They were obligated to do so. Did the devs handle this badly? Yep...but Valves' practices had nothing to do with it.

Valve are in control of Steam and make the rules.

The devs are at fault but so is Valve. There shouldn't even be an option for devs to revoke keys more than 2 years after the fact.

The reason there exists a facility to do is purely because Valve allows it therefore Valve are absolutely at fault here. But so are the scamming devs.
Again, Valve is obligated to do what the devs ask when it concerns THEIR (the devs) keys.

Valve was asked to revoke them, so they did. Do you guys not realize that there's an agreement when you have a game on Steam (or any platform)? The devs have the right to revoke keys if fraud has occurred. Both parties agreed to this. So, tell me. What good would have done Valve to say "We know that this is your game and your property, but we refuse to revoke the keys."

The devs would've sued Valve and won....and the keys STILL would've been revoked.
