Fanatical response, this is not fanatical fault but the devs fault. Fanatical unlike G2A is legit.

We are aware of an issue with Steam keys for Overfall, which we sold as far back as 2018.

We are in contact with the original publisher and developer to rectify the issue as quickly as possible, and will provide more details therein. We strongly refute any unfounded allegations around trust and can assure you that Fanatical continues to act with integrity, ensuring that all of our products are officially licensed.

We will keep this page updated with the latest official information regarding the issue so please check back soon.

Thanks for Sharing had the same issue and was thinking this is a 1 April Joke and I hope for Steam it is otherwise they just lost one of their costumer with close to 3K of Games on the account. For me they would just lost my trust and it can happen to any game I own.

That's how developers make money. This is not the first time I have this problem. I have at least 7 or 8 steam keys that I bought and played for over a year. Later I found out, they took the key aways from me for bs reason.

The problem is really Steam's. This kinda key revocation only undermines the trust we have in Steam as a platform and they need to stop developers from arbitrarily revoking keys for things we legally paid for.

I mean this would be a easy legal case I expect. This is like you purchase something in a shop and they come to your house and take the product back without possibility for the owner to interveen. At least in Europe this is a case that would cost Steam millions. I just thinking how to deal with this maybe trough a class achtion. Not local law more like the one where Steam tried to forbid purchasing keys in a other country and Steam and Game producer had to pay millions

Assuming you got your Key from Fanatical you wait it out till they fix it internal and then afterwards you will be able to reclaim a new Key in your Games list that you have purchased.

This isn't the first time that Fanatical had to deal with such a fallout between Games Developer/Publisher and in the end they always provided new Keys to everyone that wanted one of the Game.

In case you bought it from an third party vendor in some of those Trading Groups on Steam or Reddit it might be a bit more hassle then what you have to do at Fanatical. Still wish you the best for getting an new Key.

If you are buying keys online be very careful use trusted sites. If you go to the about section on the website. "We're on a mission to help gamers from all over the world find amazing games at amazing prices. Fanatical lets you quickly find what you want from a selection of over 8,000 officially licensed digital games from over 1000 publishers." Fanatical about page. I've seen others. Greenmangaming is another one. These are essentially game shops but online. if that make sense.

An idea of a non legit service. Like GtwoAA which is a key re-seller. is not legit. And you can lose all the games you purchased there. Best to avoid these websites.

Steam needs to have it because people on non legit stores like key resellers. are selling stolen keys. I can't say the name of the popular website G.two.A. That's why steam revokes keys. You need to buy from legit sellers.

I avoid key re-sellers, Steam has blocked me from saying the names but I think you get the idea of the crowd I am talking about. They resell keys. Ask you to pay extra in order to receive the key. Back in 2015 I had a game removed. I didn't know back then that these websites were dodgy. But they gave me a refund except it was money for their website. So I couldn't use it anywhere else. Also they charge you extra for using paypal. It's honestly sicking. Avoid them at all cost.

Here are good website, that between them you will find a good deal weekly: steam, humble bundle (try get a year sale on the collection I am paying £6.19 for all the games monthly), greenmangaming, fanatical (have good support) amazing bundles. I haven't gotten lucky with the eggs though :( but I think that's just my luck got some great vouchers which is handy sometimes it's good to buy a cheap game then you get given a voucher for like 10%+ off then buy a expensive game, gamesrepublic.com, www.indiegala.com (never used).

Also check out this wesbite it gives you a list of deals. https://isthereanydeal.com/
Also check out this reddit https://www.reddit.com/r/GameDeals/ got loads of deals there that people find. With all these options there is no need for the stolen keys worrying if the game will get taken away. Also if you are like me that owns an old steam account you want that account to be in good standing.

The removed keys were from Fanatical, which is a whitelisted store.
