Oh. someone think 50 cents is nothing.
So. can you send me 50 cents every second?
Yeah maybe this game was 10 or 20 cents.

10 cents are OK for me.
send me 10 cent every second 10 years. it's easy for you aren't ya?
it's only 3,000,000 dollar for year.

Seriously.
I don't care this game 10 cent or AAA full price.
It a just scam.
Yeah, I don't care game was fun or not.

I have freaking tons of AAA games.
and mostly I don't play that games.
but, If they revoked your AAA games. can you still don't care about it?

steal 10 cent. steal 60 dollar.
it's same. same scam.

games are to play them but people collect a lot of things used for various tasks without using them, like stamp collection, music cds, comic books etc

It is not about the 50 cent. It is the first game that was revoked on my account. And i was not in any form responsible for it. If enough game key get revoked valve will delete my account. I never buy on shady sides and try to be good guy and still get the short end of the stick.

Fanatical help desk said that their keys got caught up in a clean up operation by the developers/publishers of the game that wanted to hunt down illegitimate keys. Still not okay that a game key gets revoked after 3 years.

What is making me angry is that i as a good customer have no say in the matter at all. I was not asked about the situation, i was not warned i just got a message saying a game key was revoked because of shady financial transaction. The word of message was accusing me of fraud. If you are a good person that can get to your nerves. And i can do nothing to defend my reputation. I am powerless to do anything in the steam enviroment, except making reporting the situation to a not interested automated support system.

I am not angry at the developers but i will not make business with them again. And my trust in steam and other digital vendors is shattered. If they just can & will take away stuff i paid for, why bother doing business with them at all.

Guys, please, stop doing this - don't panic! There was no direct accusation in said message. I deny to believe that some users received a different alert message from Steam.

This could be due a problem with payment methods you used to acquire this item from a third-party seller
means this was just an assumption that maybe you were using some shady dealer services. And they simply don't want to be involved in your and third-party seller financial relationships.

It's a general "yellow" Steam alert that you receive every time the code associated with your account through "Activate product on Steam" function being revoked.

Otherwise you would receive a "red" warning alert message like this one:

This kind of message people usually receive when they try to manipulate with payment methods on Steam.

I, personally, am EXTREMELY angry with the Overfall company. It's funny they ban people from their forums for expressing the truth.

At first, they called EVERYONE who obtained this game from Fanatical a thief. Then, they tried to recant that by editing and deleting posts.

Then, when people called them out, they banned said people from this forum.

I hope VALVE staples the OVERFALL situation to the WALL and makes an example out of them.

Yeah. All of us didn't do anything wrong. But after what happened, I wouldn't even consider to buy anything from these guys.

But try to consider it as a friendly notification:
"Hey, friend! There's a game missing in your library, maybe you received it from illegal source. Anyway, it's still available in official store."

Because, I don't think your account is flagged or affected in any way apparent from game license removal.

It's 0% our fault 0% valve's fault. get real guys,
Valmar 6 Apr, 2021 @ 2:46pm
Yeah it was not about the 50 cents or whatever, not even about the game.

Is about the way devs handled this, blaming legit sites like fanatical, removing game from people, making excuses trying to justify their mistakes rather than appologizing since the start for the mess they created and the things they said. It was fail after fail after fail and mistake after mistake, with very poor handling of the situation and a bit of passive aggresive approach, with excuses, no appologies and lack of self critic capacity (whatever that is said in English).

It was for sure no bad intentions on their part, but clearly bad communication made things worse.

If I offered you 50 cents to deliberately re-experience all this frustration and anger next week, and re-type every post you've made on the subject, would you take the offer? Because letting yourself get worked up over what happened is exactly the same thing.

I'll even give you a 100% raise, and make it a dollar. How about now? Is the pay worth it? Or perhaps there's a better use of your time and state of mind.

"Because letting yourself get worked up over what happened is exactly the same thing."
he said it's a scam, so he thinks the devs are thieves, so for him is like chasing a thief. you dont know if he's angered or frustrated, he's just chasing a thief because he treats it like righteous exercise that's empowering him. he's like zealot and can't turn a blind eye even on slightest mistake.

It wasn't a mistake. Educate yourself before posting any accusation (this applies to OP as well):
