why do i have to select 'offline' every time i play?
is there an option somewhere in the command line or ingame that doesnt have this login prompt and offline selection?

i just want to play offline always

Not sure, I rarely play it from Steam so I'm (almost) always 'offline' and the Login option doesn't affect me, no need to touch it. Just checked and I don't see any login prompt via Steam either, not sure where/when I lost it being foisted on me.

For the future: Click "Remember Me" before you hit Offline.
