Nope, that key opens the door before reaching the place he described...

Since I can't rememeber if enemies appears again after entering the spaceship, the best move is exit the alien base and enter it again to repeat the whole thing, (Using the boat).

If you can't exit never more the base because maybe you entered the spaceship and the door is closed now.... Does enemies reappear when you enter the spaceship and you exit it? If so just repeat the whole thing. Try enter the ship an exit it... and kill again the guards...

In addition... I have never saw such a bug but I noticed that some things falls through the map... maybe is just the key was lost.... but if it's possible to take it... use your magic ball to take it.

From the red guard drops heart or mana bottle, no key.

I've got the same problem, i tried six times. There are two red guards but none of the two drop me a key, they drop me only hearts, so i'm stuck and i can't continue the game.

This bug happened to me yesterday. I just got into the ship, get out and once the enemy had been regenerated, killed it again and this time it dropped the key.
