They work for all pets

If you are referring to "Barbaric Yawp" skill, it:

    
• Works as intended with blue and orange pets (skags and spiderants);
      
• Works with green pets (jabbers), but their description doesn't get updated and shows the default values, but the bonus is actually applied;
      
• Doesn't work with purple pets (loaders).

Generally, all of the pet related skills are intended to work with all the pets unless skill description states otherwise like that purple skill that makes loaders self-explode on death. But sadly, there are lot of bugs in this game. Aforementioned Barbaric Yawp doesn't work with purple pets because of bug, same with Frenzy skill.

There are likely a ton of bugs that will never be fixed because they got what they wanted out of the game and have abandoned it.

Why i likely wont be buying the next game at full price if at all, depends on how woke it is.

As mentioned above alot of things were never fixed or patched.
