On fixing all the bugs of the latest Steam version of the game but No change in gameplay

Die Spiele sind ja nur zenziert, hierzulande erschienen. Mitlerweile wurden sie indiziert und sind auch hierzulande wieder auf Steam verfügbar. Sind sie aber auch uncut? Auf der Steamseite steht, das sie auf Deutsch und Englisch sind und ich kann sie nochmal kaufen (ich habe meine Versionen von einem Key Store)...

I cannot get Painkiller to launch on my computer, currently running Windows 10 with an Nvidia 3060. It will open for a split second, change the screen resolution, open a black screen, and then immediately crash. The fixes that I have found floating around have not worked, either. This includes: Updating the game to the fan-made v1.66 patch. Launching the game in Windows XP SP2 compatibility mode (or any other compatibility mode), as Administrator, and disabling fullscreen optimizations. Launching the game...

what's the trick? got him down to a third of his health. shooting swamp bubbles-- doesn't work (if they explode at all) shooting flying bubbles-- doesn't work and i'm not a fan of his special attack-- crashing the game.
