Broken for Linux
This worked fine the previous time I played, perhaps a month or two ago. However, now I get the Unity splash screen, and then it crashes immediately. I tried running the executable directly from the command line, in an attempt to get debug information. This time, I progressed past the splash screen to the main menu with music. However, the text was all missing, and I was unable to select anything. FWIW I had the following output on the terminal.

Set current directory to /home/karl/.local/share/Steam/SteamApps/common/Volvox Found path: /home/karl/.local/share/Steam/SteamApps/common/Volvox/Volvox.x86_64 Mono path[0] = '/home/karl/.local/share/Steam/SteamApps/common/Volvox/Volvox_Data/Managed' Mono path[1] = '/home/karl/.local/share/Steam/SteamApps/common/Volvox/Volvox_Data/Mono' Mono config path = '/home/karl/.local/share/Steam/SteamApps/common/Volvox/Volvox_Data/Mono/etc' displaymanager : xrandr version warning. 1.5 displaymanager : trying .X11-unix client :0 has 1 screens displaymanager screen (0): 1920 x 1200 Using libudev for joystick management Importing game controller configs

I thought maybe it was Steam-overlay related, so I disabled that, but this made no difference. I'm happy to troubleshoot more if necessary.

Up-to-date Arch Linux
Optimus/Bumblebee, but tried using both Nvidia and integrated Intel GPUs.

Hi Karlodinium, I'm sorry, I noticed only now this thread. I will do of my best to fix it asap!

Oddly enough, it's now working again. I don't know what happened. I probably restarted since then, and/or upgraded some packages. So, in short, don't worry about it! Thanks for the response anyway.

Wonderful! Thanks for having notified me.
The last update was January 26; probably it was a passing problem :)

Oh, I meant I upgraded some Linux system packages. My original post was after January 26, so the fix probably wasn't related to the new Volvox update. Also, thanks for the fantastic Linux port generally!
