Been too long since I played the 3 campaign difficulties but I remember that every time you re-play the campaign, you can recruit the NPCs again and they'll come with their build halfway done when you accept them on your party so theres no problem.

I know that but i went with full ranger and taar as healer so right now finala is underlvl for the quest so i need to lvl up. I am not talking my ranger that i sent to the inn. I don't care. He will lvl up end of the game.

The plan was i go to veteran and lvl up finala go back to mercenary and do the quest. If i need to.

The question was i can do that or not?

Oh sorry, no, in that case no, each save works for its difficulty, what you can do is go through the story and get the updated Finala who waits you later in the game. I think that brute you meet at the beginning has combat magic as one of its skills if you recruit him on veteran and above though, worth checking out.

It'll save your current companions and a new instance of them will be available in the world, thats what I say. So yeah, you'll see everyone again even if they are following you.

My question was i pick up finala stay on mercenery and lvl up when i can do the quets where i need to use CM staff and get rid of her, get back my ranger and that's all.

I am not on 2 diffuulty, only on mercenary. I am not want to change my teammate to better team or something else. I just wnat to do it for this ♥♥♥♥♥♥ quests thats all.

I assume at this point easier to lvl up finala at mercenary, do the quest and get back my ranger and not messing up with other difficulties.

If a character in the tavern becomes 20 or more levels behind your main character, they will automatically get bumped to your character level -2 the next time you put them into your party. So you don't need to manually level up all the characters.

I had the same problem with the quest on Mercenary. Wasn't using Finala and didn't have a CM mage on Mercenary, just grinded out the CM 23 because she was going to be my 5th party member on Veteran anyway. You could theoretically come back from Veteran, but doing it on Mercenary might be a better idea, as the quest that follows up this one awards 2 skill points, which you want ASAP. So yes, if she is nowhere near to being 20 levels behind your main character, just temporarily add her to your party and grind it out. Shouldn't take that long, just make sure you are not farming areas too far above or below her level.

And yes, you can freely swap difficulties at any time.

Also on topic of skill point quest rewards, this mod is basically mandatory:

It makes it so all your characters receive the bonus skill points from quests, even the yet uncrecruited ones or those at the tavern at the moment the quest is turned in. Otherwise, it's only those currently in your party.

Yeah is used that mode, and the respect mode wich makes easier to make choices and resolution.
