I played it through 95%. I didn't complete all challenges before the ending. I also played through the Croft Manor dlc and tried the Nightmare, so playtime when reviewed is my actual first playthrough time. Dlc's took combined about 4 hours. Croft manor to 100% which you can't achieve without first playing through the actual game, so do that first. The Baba Yaga dlc is embedded to the story so I think of it as a optional tomb or a side quest.

I must say it was not as good as the Tomb Raider 2013. I'm a story guy and this was not as immersive and interesting. Still very good though and definitely worth playing by itself, especially as a part of the trilogy. Best part of the game was still the exploration and the beautiful areas. The pieces of actual history and cultures are nicely embedded in the fictional story.

Gameplaywise I liked the simplicity of the first game. It did not have so many things happening and I could concentrate more on the defining moments of the game, shaping of the main character and the exploring that is so much fun for a western couch potato like me. Sure she learns more things as time goes by so we should have more skills and possibilities to survive. The survivor difficulty sounds interesting. Player has to for example actually light the campfires before saving or upgrading with gathered resources.

One thing I must say and this is a bit of a spoiler. The survival instinct that the player uses is based on her concentration, to see the surroundings better. I don't understand how she can see the animals heart even when concentrating reeeeaally hard. That felt a bit stupid even if we are dealing with the source of immortal life.

I know, this review is long and I'm assuming that you have played the first game if you are interested in this one. Probably have already bought them all for a lowlow sale price and nobody is going to read this anyway.
It's a fantastic game and I have played through the original 1996 game and think these are WAAAAAY better.

This game is truly amazing, played so many games but Tomb Raider scratches my itch for adventure shooter like no one else. Underrated IMO!
