It will be all revealed in the game. Or if you have played the game and wanted to know more, there is a excellent guide with all the alien language translated in guide tab. :)

how did the robots use energy drinks?

what kind of goverment did they have?

did the robots have stores and other things?

Spoiler Alert-

They are not man-made robots, they are mechanical alien lifeforms born from those energy crystals. The energy drink is made from same crystals as well. They have individuality, aren't control by derivative. So each individual countries are ruled by different type of governments, like ours. So yes, they have store and other things as well :)
