And i say it again so the last person understands it:
"EVERYTHING Hi-Rez touched PAST SMITE went horribly wrong. The only other thing that survived was Paladins because it did "good enough" but still not as good as Smite. Everything else has been shut down already, never made it out of beta or is not being supported anymore like their Smash bros clone."
But i didnt expect that Hi-Rez has the ballz and also announces a development stop for Paladins. They really bet everything on Smite2 now eh ? This will be a horrible mistake.
Its honestly insane that you cant be critical of hi-rez flat out lying about supporting smite 1 without a horde of smite 2 stans descending upon you cause they got that smite 2 peen squarely in their mouth
You know whats funny i have sticked with guys since the very start. I played Global agenda which probably 99% of the people here wont know what is. It was their mmo that happenned before smite. Started with smite ,paladins, the multiple mobile games( which i actually one of them i really liked) then it was like that cardgame which was similar to TFT. Then to the battle royale , then smash. I Survived all this and it shocks me to see that they still havent learned from their mistakes.
This game isnt fortnite, and i am obviously referring to the fact that epic let go of everything for fortnite because they believed in it and it paid out. Smite 2 isnt a genre giant though and this will be costly in the longterm.
Wasnt even a bad game. Needed some adjustments and fixing but other then that it was a good time.
And yeah the card game was Hi-Rez biggest failure it didnt even make it out of Beta. And what did the people get for compenstation who purchased the Beta Pack ? A really bad Smite Skin. Aphrodite was it ? Pretty much Tier 2. Not even a full fledged Skin as compensation.
They banned a lot of people from this forum as well. I unbanned them but it remains to be seen if the developers will continue trying to silence any criticism.
Well at least, smite (in general) actually has a fanbase unlike concordia, so it will survive, kinda like heroes of the storm.
Smite 1 hasn't had any new content (except crossgen skins) for a year and no real new events for a few years so these news aren't that surprising. And since they've fired their artists, no more skins so no more money (and people said skins don't matter rofl) and some have....questionnable quality ? like that phantom seas poseidon (i think that's the name), that discrepancy between the amazing card art and the model, i feel bad for poseidon.
Yeah, I guess mentioning Smite 1 is more fun than Smite 2 was way over the line for them. I didn't even call Smite 2 boring, I mentioned Smite 1 has more modes and balance is better so it's more fun
That a Mod can literally confirm Hi-Rez is doing this speaks more then anything. If Hi-Rez really is THAT desperate then the future of Smite/2 looks worse then even expected.
This downfall should be studied. Lets not forget the guy deleted his twitter some days before the layoffs and announcement for this.
