Lol, I know that's about as vague as it gets and I serenely apologize for that but unfortunately I don't have a tremendous amount to show right now. I've been spending a lot of my free time writing up a news post to cover everything but it's looking more like it's going to be 2 or even 3 posts in total broken up along the lines of the three questions you asked.
In the first post I wanted to give the community an idea of how this game, and future games, will be developed so they don't get the idea it's been abandoned or anything. Spoiler alert, I only work on it on my free time so it takes a while to get anything done.
The second post is about the sequel which I really don't want to go into any detail until I have something worth showing. I'm actually working on it right now though.
The third post is some rough ideas I have to fix the last level. I know it seems disconnected but it's not. My own personnel gripes about it are the controls for the cat and how short is it. Hopefully I should have 2/3 of those posts done by June.
Lastly, thank you again for your support. It still trips me out people actually see some potential in it.
I hope you will have a lot of free time in the future (hehe) :)
Just started plying this game today and I'm very impressed. This game has a lot of potential. Would like to see more underground caves with perhaps evidence of lost civilization buildings. Maybe underground streams with water falls etc. I'm an explorer by nature so let your imagination be your guide. This has the makings of a great game! ^^
More accessible for players and wider exposure for the game.
Implementing something like FSR isn’t possible afaik since the nanite mesh technology is somewhat dependent on Unreal’s Temporal anti aliasing. I will definitely look into this though. I personally prefer the tried and true FXAA but I’ve gotten questionable results using nanite meshes.
Edit: sorry I didn’t realize this was on the original CAT Interstellar. Can I ask what your system specs are? This game has fairly low requirements. Almost anything will work aside from an integrated graphics card.
The store page says GTX1070 = 8GB of vram to run at 1080p - 30 fps.
I own the game but have not yet installed it.
I have 2 GPUs. One has 4GB the other has 2GB
I want a 3060 but supply and demand is terrible.
I think FSR is more than AA. It kinda means that I can run it at say 720p or even 540p and FSR will upscale the image to 1080p. So older lower spec cards will be able to run it better than native 1080p resolution.
There is also a lot of Youtube tech channel interest in games that have FSR.
Especially due to the shortage of decent high end GPUs.
