No, it IS the right answer, I showed the steak and then I tried to show the missing silverware, just incase you are confused.

I was enjoying this game up untill this. It's a gamebreaking bug, makes the game unplayable!

It's been well over a year since this thread was started. I decided to start this game, sicne it was interesting to me, only to nearly immediately run into a gamebreaking, impassable wall. I look for information and find that this bug has existed for this long. I look for their website, and their account was suspended. There is no support, no bug fixing. All I'm finding about this game are major issues that make it clear that it wasn't ready for release.

Nope. I didn't report her and was still able to use this evidence at the trial. Plus I had no bug at that trial, the game registered the evidence as the right answer, so it's very strange...

I also encountered this bug. I was adoring the game before this, and it's really disheartening that I'll have to rush back through the first chapter only to hope it doesn't mess up again.

e: I looked up both a walkthrough & video lp where they made the same choice as me (to not report the maid for stealing) and it worked fine in both cases. Totally a bug.

You probably have to bring up in the case that she stole the silverware before you can actually use it. If you didn't do that, which you can in court while the lion is on trial, you probably can't use it.

It was on chapter 3, it happened in the catacombs, where you're supposed to show why you think there was no light in the street. I showed the glass but nope. I went to the end of 4-C to then retry and finally it worked when I got back to the catacomb trial through the "start from a previous day" thing :')

I can confirm this bug still persists :(

Same here. This can happen both if you report the maid or not. Not only that, because bugs concerning right pieces of evidence not being correctly recognized can be found in other trials to.
