Solution to "Can't continue Case X"
Hi everyone,

As some of you are probably aware there is a bug in the game which makes it impossible to progress to the next case. This bug occurs in a number of ways, for example when going from Case 1 to 2 it involves the start up Louvre screen freezing up, whilst from 2 to 3 involves an 4004 error code and then conversation from the previous case over a black screen.

When Aviary Attorney was just released I encountered this bug on case 1 to 2 and immediately reported it to the devs who assured me it would be solved in due time. However, being 8 months after this incident and the bug still not solved I decided to go for it myself. By delating my save-game and replaying the game I am 99% sure how to trigger the bug and how to "solve" it, which is why I've made this thread to warn and inform other players.

THE BUG: The bug triggers when quitting the game on a case on Day 1. This means that after solving a previous case, watching the intro of the new case and quitting will cause this bug to occur. However, I've also experienced the bug when choosing not to play on after a case (this was my initial "meeting" with the bug).

THE "SOLUTION": In order to prevent the bug from occuring one needs to play the Case till the "Next Day" occurs and the dates change, this will allow the player to properly load his save from that day onwards by pressing the continue button. People who however are stuck will have to replay the last day of the previous case, and then follow the instructions laid out above. This method has proven to be effective for both case 2 and 3.
