Dead In Bermuda, developed by CCCP, is a mix between a survival game, a resource management sim, and a tropical soap opera. You play as the fate (and sometimes the therapist) of eight survivors of a plane crash stranded on an island… which is obviously packed with mysteries. Not just coconuts and mosquitoes: there are also strange ruins, a mystical atmosphere, and the joy of managing eight empty stomachs that complain on a loop.

The game is like The Sims on Prozac mixed with Don’t Starve, with a dose of Lost-style relationship drama. Your goal: keep your characters alive long enough to figure out what's going on… and stop them from killing each other over a potato.

Engaging group management
Each survivor has their own skills: hunting, cooking, crafting, scientific research, etc. It's up to you to assign tasks properly. The doctor heals, the nerd analyzes, the jock chops wood, and the grumpy old man… criticizes everyone.

Delicious social dynamics
The survivors talk, fall in love, hate each other, awkwardly flirt. The "telenovela" aspect makes each playthrough unique: sometimes you get a romance worthy of a prime-time drama, other times you get an internal cold war because Martine didn't like Jean stealing her hammock.

Stimulating difficulty
Hunger, fatigue, sickness, injuries, morale… every meter is a permanent threat. You spend your time putting out fires (sometimes literally). The feeling of survival is well-executed.

Touch of fantasy mystery
The island isn't just a tropical backdrop: ancient ruins, puzzles, strange relics… you can feel there's lore behind it all, and it motivates you to progress.

Longevity and replayability
Every run is different based on your choices, your task assignments, and the relationships between survivors. You can end up a hero… or end up with a famine-induced massacre by day 12.

Lot of randomness
A hunt can fail stupidly, an illness can worsen without warning, an argument can tank your team's morale. Sometimes, the game punishes you for no good reason.

Cumbersome interface and pacing
There are tons of menus, the clicks keep coming, and the gameplay loop can feel repetitive: feed, heal, repair, repeat.

Caricatured characters
The cast is fun, but some stereotypes get old fast: the loudmouthed macho guy, the cold scientist, the mystical zen girl… It's amusing at first, but gets a bit tiresome.

Unbalanced difficulty
The game can feel unfairly hard, especially on the first run: one wrong task assignment and you'll watch your survivors wither away without being able to do anything.

Not a visual spectacle
The comic book art style is pleasant but fairly static and limited: it's more about reading and managing than action.

Dead In Bermuda is a little gem for those who love hardcore management and psychological survival drama. It's not an action game, but an experience where you juggle hunger, fatigue, arguments, and tropical diseases like an unlucky scoutmaster. It's not perfect (a bit repetitive, sometimes unfair), but it has real personality and knows how to create memorable survivor stories.

Dead In Bermuda is a good managment and survival game. The middle to end of the game kinda dragged a bit but the plot was strong enough to keep me interested. I recommend it! ❤️

Dead In Bermuda is an odd resource management survival game.

The difficulty curve is waay too steep without enough time to learn the huge amount of details you need to control. In a turn you will have to assign characters to different roles while evaluating their attributes, for example if someone needs sleep you'll have to gauge how much rest they'll get depending on their constitution, if they can recover a lot then it may be better to make them work more, however you also need to think of who will get tired also, since the relationship dynamics of those that are together are too important to ignore, so you need to think a few steps ahead and check everyone's energy, their individual constitution and plan who will sleep together with who depending on their needs. This is just one aspect of the game mind you.

I tried and failed for around 20 hours when I was an adolescent, and was never able to overcome day 33-34, the hurdle of either dying of hunger or sickness from eating raw fish proved too much, the same happened a few years later. Now I came back to it with years of experience in these types of games, and a sharper mind from years as a data analyst... And still failed for 15~ hours before finally developing the necessary knowledge! This game is unnecessarily hard without enough time to understand the mechanics, so you're doomed to repeat the same start and watch everyone die a few times. Sort of like a rogue-like.

Now that I finally was able to survive the curve dramatically lessened, once your characters stop hating each other, you have a good set of teams assembled to do different tasks, a nice source of food... The game becomes repetitive and lacks a challenge, it is just balanced weirdly. Not to mention the exploration events, those got me killed a lot before I learned how they work, but I've also noticed that some need to be memorized, like the hand-shaped fountain, that one is great to use a couple of times and then will have a strong effect capable of seriously damaging a character in a lot of stats and leaving them at a high risk of dying.

The characters are odd too, they feel very formulaic, like personality presets that are not developed during the game's duration. It's hard to relate or care for them, and some have extremely edgy personalities.

Some design choices are very questionable, in the sense that they add needlessly challenging aspects, like how the freshly caught fish at the end of the day will need to be eaten raw or a random amount will spoil, regardless of whether you have anyone posted on the meat drying rack or cooking pot by the end of the day

Unless you like resource-management games and want a real challenge, steer away, and even if you like these types of games, bear in mind that this one is extremely frustrating and is poorly designed in some aspects.

Fun little game with decent strategy aspects. Story isn't anything amazing, but still entertaining. If you want a cheap game to waste a bit of time, go for this.
