Need help using CPUCores with BF1? READ HERE!
Thanks to Jushi for the tip!

To use BF1 (an Origin game that uses a website to launch the game) do the following:

1) Launch Origin
2) Go to the website via the Origin app
3) Don't start BF1 via the website, instead, use bf1.exe inside CPUCores (select it via the non-Steam game/application option)
4) "START GAME" Button in CPUCores

Happy gaming!

Exactly my question, thanks!

Pinning thread since a lot of people have been asking about BF1 and CPUCores in the past few days.

Happy gaming :)

BF1 doesn't require a web interface like BF4 ( i.e. Battlelog). It launches the bf1.exe straight from the Origin client. Will this make any difference to the way we can use CPUCore?

i just start up origin and then start up bf1.exe through cpucores. that's it. i did notice some issues with bf1 and cpucore together with discord (voice app). couldn't figure out what cut my sound off and had to disable cpucores while using discord.

other then that, cpucores and bf1.exe works just like with any other non steam game.

Hey there dEEkAy! Your comment about discord made me think that perhaps you might want to add discord to the CPUCores Whitelist (CPUCores -> Advanced -> Whitelist). I believe it is just discord.exe but I'm not 100% sure, so you'll want to double-check on the .exe name.

If you do that then the discord app shouldn't have sound cut out or otherwise be slowed down via CPUCores constraining ability.

I hope that helps you out! Hey, if you don't mind me asking, could you write a Steam Review on your thoughts with BF1 + discord with your CPU/GPU listed in the review? I ask as that game + discord app are VERY popular and I could point people to the review if they had questions.

Many thanks in advance and HAPPY GAMING :)

games Ive played, such as Interstellar Rift and Battlefield Hardline, seem worse. Im almost positive it is my settings in CPUCores. I chose games and set the game to use 3 of 4 of my cores. Ive tried leaving everything at default. I notice the loading screens are faster and and menues are faster, but the audio in both gets heavily garbbled when using CPUCores. Any ideas. Im right at my 2 hr refund limit. If I cant get this to work on my next usage, I wont be able to get a refund.

Hey there, try using the defaults here:

-- Here is a good link to the CPUCores basic manual for a default config: http://cpucores.com/manual

Also, for testing, I suggest using the FRAPS free version fps benchmark (not video recording). Play the game as normal (all your normal apps, browsers, Steam, etc open) and use it with and without CPUCores for maybe 5 minutes. Then open the FRAPS log files and compare results, especially the minimum FPS.

hi there again. forgot about this topic.

i did some more testing with bf1 and it seems like that increasing bf1's cpu priority makes it run worse. if i leave bf1 at normal priority everything runs fine. discord was on my whitelist already so basically bf1 kills my pc with higher priority.

cpu: amd a10-7850k (igpu deactivated)
gpu: amd radeon r9 270x (2gb)

i got no fraps/whatever benchmarks to show you if bf1 + cpu cores increases performance overall and currently i don't have the time to test that.
logical thinking: cpu is at 100% for me when i play bf1 and thus decreasing other services priority/cpu usage should increase bf1's performance.

I'm having issues with BF1. CPU core degrades the performace and if I don't use CPU cores the game is unplayable. The game was running fine but I thought I could sqeeze a little more with this program and it didn't work. Other games run fine. How did CPU core mess up BF1 for me? Can't even play without this program running any more.
