I had a product (integrated circuits) suddenly have a negative 'res cost' which stopped production of that product. I deleted it, and created it again, and the negative 'res costs' value remained the same (-60). you should probably add a routine to validate all the values in a production object to make sure they are valid, and fix them if they are not.
