Does this come prepatched?
Or should i play the GOG version instead? I have both.

it does but both steam and gog versions are censored

It comes pre-patched, but there are more recent versions of the applied fan patches - and despite reports of censorship, I see children in my game. The applied patches must re-add them.

There are still a few bugs if you just install and play the Steam version, but it is playable and finishable.

Pretty sure it's set by region, so depending on where you live. Australians and Germans will have censored kids, I think. Fairly certain it was Germany, or maybe just Europe in general, that censored the game the first time.
