Who do you voodoo B*TCH?

this game makes me feel like I have to throw up but besides that its just okay

After buying Dead Island 2, I decided to go back and play the original as well as Riptide before going back to the sequel.

Going back to this is a trip. A janky, sloppy trip. Chopping up zombies can still be pretty fun in this one and Riptide. The quests in this game are mostly fetch quests with the worst quests being escort quests mainly because of how slow they are. You might need to adjust the FOV for this and Riptide because the camera moves a ton in these older games and everything feels really cramped.

Speaking for the Definitive Edition, the updates to the graphics are really well done aside from some lighting. Like the reveal for the thug. I feel the darker lighting in the original made it feel more intimidating. One other small complaint is the BLINDING sun, lens flairs and bloom. Otherwise, the game is very lovely in some areas.

I mainly recommend this if you want a goofy multiplayer experience. Single player can be done but it's a bit of a slog. Often very cheap on sale with Riptide and Retro Revenge.
