Can’t use Control on party using PS5 Remote Play with Steam Deck

Title says it all. I’m trying to use Control to get Strago’s lores but I can’t target my party. I’ve tried every button and multiple layouts. Bumper keys work normally so I don’t know what’s up. Hitting X enables auto-battle rather than changing targets.

Not quite sure I follow. You use control on an enemy and then use the enemy attack, you wouldn't need to target yourself with it.

For other things involving targeting party, such as fire spell for a random example, just select fire, target an enemy and then press ( square or x depending on default configuration and standard layout ) and it should switch to a party member.
