Since December 1st the NPCs at Port of the Winds have a small gift for you.
Everyday another NPC at PoW will have a Christmas Gift for you. Just go and grab it once per day for each character which is Level 40+. You will get one gift everyday until December, 25th.

X-Mas Event 2024
The X-Mas Event will bring you back the X-Mas Mission Map. The event lasts until January 2, 11:00 Server Time.

X-Mas Event Mission Map
The X-Mas Mission Map consist of Arcade (F1) Mode, Chaos (F2) Mode and two Scenario Modes (F5). The first Scenario Mode is for the initial questline and the second one is for the daily quest.


Possible mission rewards are:

Main Questline
After completing 6 quests you will be able to run F5 Scenario Mode daily to obtain 1 Big IM Consumables Box and one collectable X-Mas item which can be exchanged for a X-Mas Costume Box.

The 12 Quests of Christmas
Beginning with December, 14th you will get a new quest of the quest collection "The 12 Quests of Christmas" daily until December, 25th. The "job" for each of these quests is all around the X-Mas Event Mission Map. The quests can be done until December 26, 23:59 Server Time. Every quest gives you 1 Big IM Consumables Box and one collectable X-Mas item which can be exchanged for a winter themed car mount (Winter Rover) or a winter themed sheep mount (Frosty Flix). Also you will get a brand new X-Mas achievement.

Please notice that the car/sheep is neither tradable/sellable nor account vaultable.


Drop Event
Collect Santa Christmas Boxes (2022) which need to be opened with Santa Key (2022). The key can be obtained by exchanging it for Burned Cookies(see below).
The box randomly gives you one of the following:

The Biscuit has to be used within one day. Otherwise it expires.
- One X-Mas Wing Box for 10 Burned Cookies
- One X-Mas Bubble Hat Box which randomly yields one out of 11 differently colored Santa Hats.

- A Santa Feilon or Santa Griffon Mount for 20 Burned Cookies each
- A Santa Dark Flip Mount for 25 Burned Cookies.
- One Big IM Consumables Box for 30 Burned Cookies.
- One X-Mas Costume Box containing a random part of the Gallant X-Mas Event Outfit

The drop event runs until December 31, 23:59 Server Time

Please notice that all collectable items are neither tradable/sellable nor account vaultable.



Drops are only given at the following locations:
- in all Mission Map starting from Mirinae Sanctuary (Arcade Mode and Chaos Mode)
- in Drakos Tower and VanCliff (Regular and Expert Mode)
- in the following Dungeons: Underground Graveyard (Lv. 30 & Lv. 35), Magma Dungeon, Akia Cave, Verdurous Forest, Kundara Dungeon, Red Fox Delta, Specter's Tower (Regular and Expert Mode)
- Dungeon of Destiny
- The event mission does not drop the Burned Cookies or the Santa Christmas Box.

Bug Fixes
- Fixed a bug that in some specific situations Monsters spawned by other Monsters (for example Rivous inside Verdurous Forest) have the wrong level when playing in a scaled party.

Bug Fixes and Changes
- Fixed a bug that caused the Wood Rush skill (and possibly other similar skills) to not recognize monsters and fail doing damage to them when being in a scaled party.

- Changed the Achievement Noob Helper to be working with scaled parties. The counter is increased when a scaled player is doing mission map runs together with unscaled players. Additionally we added the Achivements Noob Helper 1000 and Noob Helper 2500 where you have to run 1000 resp. 2500 missions as scaled player.

And once again our Map Maker provided us with more of his pretty lighting reworks for another 2 mission map areas: Pine Cone Hills and God's Sanctuary. Take a look at these mission maps to see how pretty they now look!




On Community Wish we have added new options how the Flashing Buttons (Market and PvP) behave. At the Misc Options tab you will find these new options:

For the Market Button you can choose if it shall always flash (when you sold something), if the flashing shall be disabled when you're running a Mission Map or Dungeon or if it should never flash.
Changes to this settings are effective after a map change, channel change, character change or re-login.
For the PvP Button Flash (which appears when Battlesquare starts) you can only decide if you want to see the flash (Always) or if the flash should be disabled (Never). The PvP button flash does not appear when you are running Mission Maps/Dungeons by design, also the PvP flash is only triggered when you hear the BSQ notification. It does not start to flash later which means, if you are currently in a mission map or dungeon when you hear the BSQ notification, the button will not flash when you leave the map. Also it's not possible to disable the flash effect when it's currently flashing. The setting will become effective for the next BSQ notification.

I Like! Event
While we are waiting for Thanks Giving we have the opportunity to get ourselves I Like! Accessories. Monsters inside Expert Modes, Dungeons (except of Galaxy Dungeon, Element Dungeons and Temple of Water) and Mission Maps starting with Mirinae Sanctuary are dropping "I like!" Items. You can collect them and trade them at the Vending Machine for a part of the I Like!Accessory Set.

Changes to Elga Sets and Elga/Lavalon Weapons
We decided to decrease the level requirement for Black Dragon Lord Sets and Weapons to better match the entry level of the Black Claw Nest dungeon. Since the required level for entering the Black Nest Dungeon and the hero quests for it is 70 we decided that Level 75 resp. 77 is not lining up with this. This is the following new level requirement for Black Dragon Lord Sets:

Black Dragon Lord Gear – Lv.70
Black Dragon Lord Weapon – Lv. 70
[Rare] Black Dragon Lord Gear – Lv.72
Element Black Dragon Lord Weapon – Lv. 72

Additionally we decreased the level requirement for the Magma (Lavalon) weapons to Lv. 45 because of the same reason. We decided to keep the level requirement at Lv. 45 so that the Dark Soul Weapons still have a purpose and a reason to be farmed.

We are celebrating our 14th anniversary and we invite you to celebrate with
us.

This year we have our 14th Birthday Cake and also we have a little guest.


The name of him is "Little Bob". Little Bob has something very special for
you. When you talk to him he will be able to teleport you and your party
members into the Dungeon of the Forgotten Past. The Dungeon
will take you and your party members on a journey into Dragon Saga's past.

The Dungeon is an Expert Mode Dungeon, it does not offer a normal mode. All
Expert Mode limitations apply, but you also get the 8 end rewards.

Halloween Event 2024

At the center of Port of the Winds Randy awaits you to give you
some Halloween Quests.It's not needed to mention that the Events Costumes
Little Ghost, Grim Reaper, Haunted Puppet and Undead Gamer are available.
And also the [Event] Dragon Ranger Costumes are returning!


Besides all the costumes you can get all kind of useful and useless stuff
like Halloween Accessories, Balloons and more. The Event will stay for
3 weeks (until November 7, 11:00 Server Time)

we're already too much into Halloween yet... Let's try again: Hello
DragonSaga Friends! The costume requirement to get your Treats on the Trick
or Treat Days (10/31 and 11/1 Server Time) has just been revealed.

And the winner is.... All of the [Event] Dragon Ranger costumes! The Black
one, the Blue one, the Pink one, the Red one or the Yellow one. You need to
wear one of those on the Treat Days to get Treats!





Scaling Dungeons and Mission Maps(Early Access)Update


Event Mission Maps and Non-Expert Mode Dungeons now
available for scaled Parties

We are happy to tell you that Event Mission Maps and Non-Expert
Mode Dungeons can now be played with your low-level and high level friends.


The scaling mechanics for Event Maps is the same as it is for

normal

maps with one exception: The maximum number of rewards you can get is
limited to 2.

This means you will get the following amount of rewards:

Event Mission Maps

1 scaled High-Level Party Member: 2 Rewards

2 scaled High-Level Party Members: 2 Rewards

3 scaled-High-Level Party Members: 1 Rewards



Event Dungeons

1 scaled High-Level Party Member: 2 Rewards

2 scaled High-Level Party Members: 2 Rewards

3 scaled-High-Level Party Members: 2 Rewards



Event Expert Mode Dungeons (for example 'Dungeon of the Forgotten
Past') are excluded from scaling at all.





Bugfixes

- Fixed a bug that autoscaling Mission Maps (e.g. Dragon Valley)
always scaled the monsters to the actual level the highest high-level
player in a scaled party, not to the highest scaled level

- Fixed a bug that Gada Coins and Ring Coins could not be used when playing
in a scaled Party


Graphics Update: Another Lighting Rework

Again our Map Maker provided us with more of his fantastic lighting
reworks for another 2 mission map areas: Valid Raeth and

Smoldering Swamp

. Step into these mission maps to see the new beautifulness of these maps
on your own!
