Fake Player Bots in public matches??

I've gotten several games that were super sus as a survivor. But this one takes the cake.
Not only did the huntress just stand there menacingly at me for like 5 minutes, but my teammates would just go in circles around my spot as if they didn't know how to pathfind to me.

And I had several matches like this. Like the teammates would be heading in a straight line direction, and I would stop directly in front of them and watch them only side skirt me when they reached me. Walking in lines in a very robotic way. No chatting or shenanigans or any response.. Super strange.

Fake player bots absolutely do exist - they are more common as killer than as survivor, though.
In most cases, it's a program used by a player that runs the game 24/7 to farm blood points and iridecent shards, only to sell the account then.

I am sorry you had to deal with this, I know how frustrating it is :(

idk so I'm just going to ask how do we know that is a team mate bot? Maybe they don't wanna come to you because the killer is right in front of you?

The difference is usually quite easy to tell. If they are smart about it, they are probably real. If they struggle to pathfind, walk into rocks or trees and possibly even get stuck, they're bots.
I've seen a survivor get stuck in a tile and running into a corner for the duration of a whole generator, since they couldn't pathfind to the gen around the wall haha

100% what happened in some games. Found a lara croft and she was just sprinting into a rock.

Is that an exploit? Could the killer actually get to you? Or were you sitting in a spot they couldn't cause of collision boxes? Also bleed out timer is 4 minutes. Sucks ya running into bots.

Farmbots. Behabiour not only allows them, but helps setting them up if you write their support and ask.

Farming bots have always been a reportable offense since 2017 when they first started getting spammed cos 10 shards per match. It used to primarily be a killer just m1'ing on the spot all game. So idk where or who you got your information from.
