But i agree with you, something must be done. Unfortunately you will have all kinds of excuses and people will argue with you about things you didnt even claim. Majority of players feels miserable playing this game so they unleash that misery onto folks that still enjoy DBD.
also yes.
bots will probably be x10 as good as the player who gave up. i love spectating bots, they play way better than me
Sometimes the match is over, sometimes it's drawn out, sometimes it's mass slugging, heart goes out to my teammates but I kinda like playing games for fun and when somebody is employing annoying tactics to get under my skin or something of that ilk? You won, it worked, I'm going to move on. Sorry.
My friend who'd use to run matches with me before he went to work, and sometimes he would make the mistake of being in a match and having to get off so he could get ready for work, so he would just run up to the killer and pull himself on hook and AFK the second stage (skill checks on hook) to just be able to jump out and shut down the game.
If you're Survivor you can remedy the headache of dealing with Solo Queue shenanigans by squad-ding up and making a SWF group
At that point, couldn't he have just did a normal DC? Their team could've then had a Gen jockey for the match. Plus, the penalty is only five minutes and it'd be reset by the next day.
Even if it didn't, if he's doing this before work, he could probably get a few penalties before it bleeds into when he gets off work, y'know? Would be faster than just letting go on hook too.
FUN
We play for fun right?
Like we all have our bad moments but screwing up your whole team like that is just not the way to do it.
I have asked that question before but people told me i dont get to dictate "how they spend their time". What are we gonna even say anymore?
So you say people have irl issiues to attend litteraly 80% of my matches and im just unlucky? Im struggling to get a normal match since 2 weeks straight now, that is not a lie. And today was the same average chain of events like the other evenings i try to have fun in this game.
3 farming killers in a row, 2 of em were bots while 1 clown was at least generous enough to make it look as if he were going for the kills, until he had anybody 2 hooked and then suddendly his skill magicly dropped below the floor and deeper, because he could just not catch up anymore with anyone.
I switch to killer myself so atleast i can play a classical dbd match but nooo. Im loading in as dredge and 2 megs are standing next to each other pointing at me and teabagging and not running away. The same ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ as the rest of the days i tried to play this game.
After i slugged anyone and stood myself in the corner , when the match was over i closed the game, frustrated again because people just.. idk what their target was.
Saw a good point by I believe Scott the YouTube that they should remove the dc timer because people that don't want to play against a certain killer are just going to not play against them but since they get a penalty for dc'ing they instead give up.
Remove the penalty and people will still stop playing against killers they don't enjoy just the same except now the rest of the people in the match atleast have a bot that does stuff instead of being at a 3v1 at 5 gens making the game gg instantly.
This. There have been a few times where I’ve gone for the 4% and missed skillchecks b/c I had IRL issues come up and given how fickle the DC penalty is (I get force DCed far too often), I’m not eating a penalty b/c a IRL issue that I have to deal with came up and I need out of the match.
Also this. I know all the sweats and comps hate the idea of removing or significantly reducing the DC penalty (they want it to be harsher)-but if the DC penalty maxed out at an hour instead of several days, I’d be a LOT more willing to eat the penalty and leave the team with a bot when I have IRL issues come up than I am now.
That’s because killers can decide to AFK in a corner for the rest of the match and go do something else if they get annoyed enough with toxic survivors. Unless you’re AFK all match-or for over 15 minutes-I don’t believe you’ll get penalized for that and I don’t think it’s considered a reportable offense. Meanwhile if you AFK as survivor against a toxic killer you get crows and you make your teammates even more annoyed with you than they would’ve been if you’d just gone next on hook (at least speaking from my personal point-of-view in solo queue. I’d rather a teammate go next or DC then just stand there doing nothing all match-ESPECIALLY the ones who AFK all match then have the audacity to run straight for the exits as soon as they open.
That’s why if I see an AFK idle crow survivor as killer I will absolutely forgo my usual policy of not tunneling and hook them and only them until they’re sacrificed.
That being said I think killers should have the ability to open exit gates at any point to start EGC-with the downside that doing so would disable any end-game perks the killer had.
If you queue up for a match, you should commit to playing it out. The argument of "it's my time, I can spend it how I want" completely ignores the fact that there are four other players (three survivors and one killer) in the game. It's not just about you. Quitting on hook ruins the experience for everyone else and shows a lack of respect for their time and effort. If you're not ready to stay engaged, maybe consider taking a break instead of dragging others down.
