Jamaica Plain is the best settlement spot and im tired of pretending it’s not
It’s better than sanctuary, it has the name Jamaica in it which is the sigma country that is in the Winter Olympics and it’s got a cool couple of buildings

Size isn’t what makes it, it. Ask any man that.
I like it a lot to be honest.

It’s the best we saw of 2016 Bethesda this is we’re the peak development happened Jamaica plain. That’s why their hasn’t ever been a settlement like it

I like how the workbenches are in different build areas that aren't connected to each other.

It was especially fun using it as a base without killing the ghouls because I wasn't strong enough to risk fighting them. That was a fun game.

love hate....its in a great spot but a pain to build in....only 3 stories tall as well....without mods to remove everything its hard to get a good lay out....but playing around i always end up with a locked off concrete building that goes right to the building edge.....

There's no plain and there's no Jamaica in those 2 ruined houses they had the audacity to call a settlement

0/10 might as well sleep in the glowing sea

it is a good forward operating base for the region and, with vault tec dlc, its the ideal spot to connect to vault 88...

but as a true settlement?
too small, no real access to water, not much soil to start planting... good loot and scrap in walking distance though.

If the mod I used last time wasn't so VERY huge, like just pared down a bit in terms of what was rebuilt and added/changed, it would certainly be the 'permanent choice' for the area. But unfortunately it conflicts with way too many other things including others by that same mod maker (cannot use University Point with that specific Jamaica Plain mod) that it just... sigh. I wish they'd at least have expanded the build area to include the church and diner nearby not just the SINGLE tiny city block you get. There's a LAKE right there. WHY CAN I NOT FISH IN IT.

This! There's that tiny pool if you take out some scenery panels. The store space would be useful as well.

water is EZ....line up a bunch of middle sized water treatments right between the parking lot the most complete house.....stripe of dirt is there for it.....

Don’t build around.

Build up.

I was able to get a farm started on the roof accessible by elevator.

It has a very low ceiling for building though, 3 stories is what I've seen, slightly higher than Hangmans' I believe.

I used the car park area, and I wasn't even using planters. I'm also inordinately fond of the way I put a defensive turret platform up on that otherwise-useless house where it enjoys an excellent field of fire.
