World War II GI

World War II GI

Wow, now this is a blast from the past....
Ya know, I played this thing to death back in the day of 486s. I even tried to use the Thin Red Line Mod for it, which didn't work out. Anyway, my memory of the graphics are a little more forgiving than what I see on the store page. I guess that comes with age.

Anyway, this game was great back in the day...but ya kow, I swear it was out before 1999...maybe that is another thing related to age. Regardless, if it was like 2 bucks or something, 1.99, I would play it just for the memories, but what is it, like 4 bucks. I think I only payed about that when it was a current game, just after Saving Private Ryan came out. They have a part of the game called..Saving Private McGurkey. Pretty funny.

Yep, this and the original Wolfenstein/Spear of Destiny were some of my favorites. I didn't really appreciate the original Doom, but of course the original Duke Nukem 3D was awesome, yes the DN1 and 2 were good too, but were side scrollers. Brings back memories of when I thought I had a kick #@$ gaming rig...lol.

Yes, Duke Nukem 3d, if I do not miss my guess, these two games
World War II GI and NAM were built on the same engine as Duke Nukem 3d, especially if they use.con files that can be opened with a text editor. if you have a copy of that game the BUILD level editor included might crack open the levels if desired.
