I will not be posting in (or reading) the public forums until Valve hires more professional moderators and/or implements an ignore button to make them obsolete.

No offense to Kimundi, he does his job well.

I have the same problems Eterz has. Fullscreen mode does not work (the game minimizes to the task bar and won't maximize whatever you do), and I'd really, really like to play FS (because the Freesync issues I already told you of). Borderless flipmode actually decreases performance like crazy.

When you say Fullscreen mode, what specifically are you referring to? In the release notes I mentioned how much of a mess configuring the mod is right now, because there are about 4 settings in three different config files called "Fullscreen".

The XML needs to be set to Windowed mode and set read-only for ARC to work, you can always press Alt+Enter after the game starts up to go into fullscreen mode.

The fullscreen mode toggle works differently depending on if you have FlipMode enabled (it's a little bit stubborn with Flip Mode, which is why it's disabled by default) and also whether the Borderless setting is on or off.

Borderless + Fullscreen is a bit of a compatibility mess right now; for maximum compatibility you should try:

  1. Borderless OFF
  2. Fullscreen (SoulsUnsqueezed.ini) OFF
  3. FlipMode OFF
  4. SwapChainBufferCount=2 (dxgi.ini)
  5. PresentationInterval=1
    • (I think this is necessary for G-Sync / FreeSync).

People, be careful, we don't know if this will get you banned from the online part. From Software might be really strict with what you can do.

No more so than ReShade or RivaTuner Statistics Server. But yeah, nobody really knows just how dumb From's anti-cheat mechanism is yet. Lots of people using MSI Afterburner are going to be banned for sure if this is a candidate for cheating.

Does this work with 16:10 resolutions? (Well, I presume it does.) Anybody experienced invalid game data issues with the previous version?

I used those settings and the game just keeps minimazing.

Grab the download again, I uploaded one last release for today. It should work with all combinations of settings.

Yes, it works for 4:3, 16:10, 16:3, 21:9 and probably any other aspect ratio you can think of ;)

Some artifacts may show up above/below the screen on narrower aspect ratios. HUD stretching only works horizontally at the moment.

I downloaded it again (sus.zip), the screen stays fullscreen (it still minimized like two times) but the resolution is shrinked. I have disabled scaling in nvidia panel so there's just smaller screen surrounded by black background.

Same issue here with the newest version, the 21:9 resolution is crammed into a 16:9 view when switching to fullscreen.

Couldn't get screenshots to work so I took a bad photo: http://i.imgur.com/6bp0Trd.jpg

I've already finished the game offline with the hex edit, so it's not a big deal to me, just letting you know that it's not working properly. Windowed mode seems fine.

It should not be minimizing itself unless your XML file is set to try and start the game in fullscreen mode. It will start in a 1920x1080 window and then move over to whatever resolution you select after a ridiculously long initialization.

Every time you switch modes in-game, the game will store that change in the XML file. It has to be made read-only after it's been set to WINDOW, or aspect ratio correction will not work.

My xml has been set read only for windowed since using the .exe fix (which requires a similar startup process). With your fix and the suggested settings in the inis, the game minimizes when trying to force it to fullscreen (either via alt+enter or the menu option) and then when you bring it up you'll see that 21:9 is shrunk into 16:9 with pillarboxes. As shown in the image above.

Can you paste a copy of logs/dxgi.log to pastebin.com? I don't think it's finding the memory correctly.

There should be a line like this:

04/26/2016 16:31:08.333: [AspectRatio] Custom Default Resolution: (3440x1440) {2.39}

It WAS set to read-only. I used the same settings as before:

Borderless OFF
Fullscreen (SoulsUnsqueezed.ini) OFF
FlipMode OFF
SwapChainBufferCount=2 (dxgi.ini)
PresentationInterval=1
