Dictionary Issues
If you find a word that is missing from the game's dictionary, or has no definition, or an incorrect definition, please consider helping me out by adding it to this
google spreadsheet[docs.google.com].

I will be checking that spreadsheet fairly often, and will update the game's dictionary whenever I can.

Thank you for your help, and I hope everyone is enjoying Letter Quest Remastered! :)

I'm not sure, but shouldn't "QUO" be a word? As in status quo? this one has always kinda bugged me a little.

This is much more efficient than the thread for dictionary changes for the original version.
I found a few words that weren't recognised, but I'm not 100% sure that they should be included in the game. Should I add them to the spreadsheet anyway?

Wiktionary doesn't say anything about it being an English word in itself. However, it does say that "quo" is another way of saying "quoth".

Sure, add them anyway. I will end up verifying each one before I add it to the game, and I've added a column that only I can edit that will show the status, probably "Added", "Not a word", etc.

Hopefully this keeps things efficient and easy for everyone. :)

Been thrown a bit a loop over that Y isnt considered a vovel in your game.
In danish its considered a vovel, but it seems its hit or miss in english. Might suprise non native english since its not spelled out that you have this particular rule.

vowel (redirected from Vovel)
Also found in: Medical, Encyclopedia, Wikipedia.
vow·el (vou′əl)
n.
1. A speech sound, such as (ē) or (ĭ), created by the relatively free passage of breath through the larynx and oral cavity, usually forming the most prominent and central sound of a syllable.
2. A letter, such as a, e, i, o, u, and sometimes y in the English alphabet, that represents a vowel.

its actually possible.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/English_words_without_vowels

Look at With W, or Without Y or W
Moonbane 8 Aug, 2015 @ 1:11pm
So Y being considered a vovel is completely possible with the above words to take the role for possible non vovel words.

As an "Adult" I find the absence of certain "Adult" terms to be amusing, childish as it might be, would you consider maybe an implementation of an "Adult"/"Child" filter?

One which made me laugh the hardest was "Quim" whilst vulgar would have been a game changer XD

Now I know this thread exhists I will remember to jot down missing words I find missing, that are none vulgar :)

I just made the word WAT, but the definition it gave me was either "To wet" or a noun, "a hare." I looked it up on dictionary.com to compare because I have never ever heard/read this term before and none of those definitions match; I only see it mentioning it in examples that appear to use it as a name, or that it is a Buddhist monastery or temple.

Glitching. Game allows word "Glitch" but not with "ing" on it.

I was surprised to see that WOOT wasn't accepted :( http://encyclopedia.thefreedictionary.com/woot

Is "santa" a pronoun and therefore unfit?

Is it possible to test the words? Sort of like sandbox mode?

Because I really like to know if zyzzyva and zyzzyzus (both being animals) can be used.

There was a similar thread about the old game:
http://gtm.steamproxy.vip/app/328730/discussions/0/624076027416855104/
Not all words from that thread are added to this game even though those are not rude words.

Last time I played the game didn't understand these words:
UFO
ZION
INUIT
ENERGIC
TAZE (to stun or shock with a high-voltage stun gun)
VEGA (the brightest star in the constellation Lyra)
JEDI (I am sure that many Star Wars fans would like to see this word in this game)
EDAM (cheese)
ARONIA (chokeberry)
CLIQUE
BUDO (a Japanese term describing modern Japanese martial arts)
BRITAIN
GRUSIA (Georgia)
DOODIE
EDO (the former name of Tokyo, also edo period)
JENGA (a famous game)
QUAY (a structure on the shore of a harbour or on the bank of a river or canal where ships may dock to load and unload cargo or passengers)
