I need help with Close Call and Printing Press achievements
close call is 1 health remaining.. how can I be that lucky or is there a certain level I can easily get it?

Printing Press- fill board with duplicator tiles. Also no idea where to get this. I think in the original Letter Quest that was one level that it was easy to do this on.. not sure if its the same ?

in the original level 26 was a good place to do it but in the remastered I got it somewhere earlier, but I haven't found a good level to get the plague one yet.

as for close call, someone posted a method, saying equipping the damage reduction scythe and using the first level works, you only get 1 damage each time, but he used an autoclicker (it takes a while).

Is it possible to do it without the autoclicker? I would prefer not to cheat and not have to install something just for an achievement.

yeah, that's what I said. it's doable but you start with 200 hp, so you need to click the shuffle button almost 200 times. I haven't done it yet.

Damage reduction scythe... thats the light scythe, right?

yes. I started a new game to test it out (I have way more hp in my other game) but it's only unlocked after 10 upgrades, so it's gonna take a while if I wanna do it this way.

I got printing press- level 26 still works. WOOT!

managed to get the plague achievement on level 25, which was made a bit more challenging by also having spikes there.

nice! I forget what level I got it on.. I got it a while ago by dumb luck.

Well I tried every level of the light scythe, didnt work for me :/

I guess there's the off chance I missed it, but pretty sure I didn't. I think the best I ever ended with was 2 or 3 health. UGH

I just tried it, I'm nearing the end, I have 480 hp, equipped the fully upgraded light scythe and I got damaged for 1 hp every time on the first level, so it should work, very slowly. I guess a critical attack can screw things up but doing some damage to the monster when you have a few points left, then another when you're down to 1 should do it.

Bought the armor, got it to level 3. Fully upgraded light scythe.. and I got the achievement! WOOT.

In the Remastered version the Close Call achievement is nearly impossible to get because if you beat the last monster with 1 health remaining the game usually gives you a power up that gives you more life. It is completely useless feature because you only have to break the gem pile. So for me Close Call is the only missing achievement from this game. This was much easier achievement in the old version of the game.

power-ups com from crystal tiles, don't use those and you'll be fine.

I'm not sure what you mean? There is nothing in the game that gives you any power ups based on how much health you have left. If you mean that you get a crystal letter that then gives you more health, avoid using that letter in the word and then your health will stay the same. Or maybe you have the book equipped that gives you health when you defeat an enemy - you can unequip that book while you try to get this achievement.

I got the 1HP achievement by getting to...I think 305 health and enough defense for the first enemy in the game (who never crits) to hit me for exactly 19. I remember having to be a bit more creative in the first game, because I neglected to do it until endgame when I had tons of health. You can just pull out a calculator and figure out what you need.

Remember to account for possibly being able to use orange crystals and potions, Rose has less HP than Grimm, and that you can further manipulate your defense, HP, or healing with a different scythe.

Also, I'm near the end of the game and I don't think I've ever seen an enemy drop bacon. Ever. I...don't think the gem pile can be leeched, if that's what you're talking about, but don't quote me on that.
