The achievements are a easter egg
I just realized that the names of the achievements have references to songs. For example:


Peace Sells/ Truth be told:
Peace Sells But Who is Buying? /Truth be told from Megadeth

Memory Hotel/ Shell Shock/ Suspicious Minds
Elvis Presley with Heartbreak Hotel, All Shock Up, Suspicious Minds

Push It:
Beat It from Michael Jackson

Hey Hey Do the Zombie Stomp:
Dragula from Rob Zombie

Keelhauled (especially with that picture):
Alestorm

Mister Nice guy:
No More Mister Nice guy from Alice Cooper

Whisky in the Jar / Escape:

There are even more than achievement references ingame, e.g. the 'Iron Maiden' in the Hiberheim Prison ...

That's not an Easter egg. lol Those torture devices were called iron maidens in real life.

These torture devices did not exist.
What are you smoking? Iron Maidens, in which you are placed inside and then the spiked door is closed on you, very much exist. The only difference is the Iron Maiden's don't talk in real life.

The inventor of the Iron Maiden was Johann Siebenkees, who lived in the 18 century.
You should start researching stuff you say before you come up with such a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

The inventor of the Iron Maiden was Johann Siebenkees, who lived in the 18 century.

there where Iron Maiden's even before christ. the "inventor" is just the first guy who are a known person.. from the others no one knows the inventors name neither when it was build.

Just started my first playthrough and one of the first things I noticed where the "Nine Inch Nails" laying around on workbenches in Cyseal. I mean, they ARE nine inch nails, but they could have just named it "Nails", so I choose to think it's an intentional reference.

Iron Maidens never existed and there is no credible source that proofs that. Whats even the point, to torture someone it sucks, to execute someone it also sucks and is ontop expensive to create.

the point to torture other people is to get information out of them and to punish them also.. dude you clearly have no clue what in history happend.

like i said there are instances where they found iron maidens and similair once like made out of wood way way way before the iron made was found.. thousands years older.. but i am out.. i cannot argue with everyone and write textbooks over a something that need multipliple sources of information and multiple sources/genres of wisdom
