What I do is go to Options ->Video and change the setting from Fullscreen to Fake Fullscreen and it will work for some minutes. After a while I have to do it again and go back from Fake Fullscreen to Fullscreen. The higher setting I use the less time it takes for the choppyness to start.
I am stuck without a solution to play the game.

Edit: I noticed that i could replicate the freeze whenever a ceiling torch is present in the picture in the tutorial dungeon
so should i even bother to try this workaround method? (and in that case, what is the workaround)
I am running os X 10.11.3
Macbook Pro (Mid 2010)
nvidia 330M
The manual Yosemite workaround for D:OS Classic, before all the cards with this issue were identified and added to the list, was to enter the following command in the Terminal:
defaults write com.larian.dos ShaderBasedClear -bool true
I tried the terminal command with no success.
I also tried a fifferent number of combinations on the Cmd Key startup settings, but they also didn't work.
I was using a save file to test it. It was inside the first tutorial dungeon. The test was to center one of thoose ceiling braziers on the screen. Not even 1 sec after, the mouse would turn into a spinning wheel, and the game would lock up.
waiting for an update on the OS X side now... argh
thanks for your help
