Summary of the game
- Medieval (?) or DND-ish FPS Roguelike
- You can fully understand all the games mechanics and still die to the most obvious mistake if you don't constantly pay attention to yourself, the surroundings and etc.
- A single fight against anything, even something as miniscule as a rat can potentially change the way you have to manage the run if you mess up.
- A tutorial that can take ( me atleast) 1- 2 hours just to understand fundamentals which can be hard to understand at first.
- An unforgiving amount of traps and enemies ( Cockatrice I'm lookin at you...)

But you know what?
It's one of the best games i've ever played, despite the difficulty curve. The game is so utterly hard ( haven't beat the game solo even with my amount of hours), yet it feels so good to master everything and actually get over those hurdles.
A prime example is boulders, one of this game's most infamous killers. It'll one shot you if you're in the way while it's rolling. Solution? Look up at the ceiling to see if there's a hole in the ceiling and dodge or activate it so you can dodge it and move on! Sounds simple enough to do until you realize the enemies can and will likely distract you and catch you off guard while you're trying to do so. The enemies themselves are also so frustrating EVEN AT THE START. I know how to properly pick them off whichever class or race i'm using but that does not mean it's any easier to do so. That just means i know what to do against them if I ever encounter them, which doesn't apply for when there's two of them. Good luck fending them off if you're playing solo.

The game itself, aside from what I mentioned, is quite the experience. I'd call this game a Semi-Medieval ( Kinda like dnd-ish? With the classes I guess it'd be reasonable) Roguelike FPS which has quite the cast for classes. Of course, there's the Barbarian, the Wizard, the Rogue, all that stock stuff. Even with how simple they are in concept, this game makes each of them fun to play, even for someone like me who's oddly picky and usually likes to pick specific stuff/mains in the games I play. In this game though, I can't stop playing and having fun with each class. The melee classes ( Barbarian, Warrior, Cleric to a degree and etc), although simple enough to learn and play, aren't held down to purely that. You could also practice stealth and even other stats such as ranged. Same goes for Ranged, although it's just picking off enemies from a distance, there's a lot of ways to approach it and many ammo types and etc to change how you handle the situation and enemy. And the magic classes. They're a whole new breed. They're like what I just said for ranged and melee but way more. They basically have everything, but at it's own costs.


( With some exceptiosn like charm monster of Mesmer and Boomerang of Hunter to name a few) The classes, although the majority of them not having a mutually exclusive thing to themselves ( if you try HARD enough, you can technically grow something like lvl 100 sword stat on Hunter if you were insistent enough), are still some of the most fun and diverse classes I've ever played. Although again, most of them don't have anything mutually exclusive to themselves, the classes still makes the game fun as that just means you can be diverse and not need to stick to your class role purely. Although it'll decide how you approach the game, it doesn't limit you to that only. For example, there's the Healer class. Just like the name implies, they starts with a spellbook of healing and cure ailment, but that's not the only thing a Healer class can do in a game. You can also practice other forms of magic or ranged to keep yourself consistently helpful aside from healing.

This game is by far one of the best games I've ever played despite the difficulty curve and I absolutely and I mean ABSOLUTELY buy this game, on sale or not, if you don't mind handling or dying a lot. This game deserves so much awards and it's just so jam-packed for it's price tag and just for what it's worth. This game does also demands a lot out of you ( a run can take a long time and like i mentioned earlier in the review, a lot of practice and time is needed if you're planning on winning) though so do take that into mind when playing. Doesn't make the game any less fun, just makes starting it off a little difficult.

This game gets even better ( and way easier) if you have someone to share and play it with, so if you were afraid of playing it due to the difficulty curve or due to the game's difficulty then it's best to play with a friend. It opens up even more opportunities and fun than solo could ever do and further just proves how fun this game is. I can't exactly put it into words but it's just a lot of fun.

All in all, although this game isn't for everyone, it's one of the best games ever ( atleast in my opinion) if you give it the time and effort to put up with the game.
