Are mods fixed?

mimics are nice but I think chest rewards need to be more valuable now that there's a risk to opening chests or a way to disable them would work too

Mimics are removed along with random boulders, etc. if you turn off the "Random Traps" option in your Lobby Settings.

Oh I'd have preferred an option only for mimics as I got used to the boulders eventually. But this is an elegant excuse for me to make the game easier
