When playing as a Race other than Human or Automaton, what use does gold have?
I haven't gotten far enough to find any Vendors of other Races and I haven't played co-op yet.
I would assume if you're a race not friendly with humans, you can give your gold to a Human Party member that can interact with the shopkeeper but I'm not too sure.

I usually play solo and my two preferred playstyles are either Human Cleric or Skeleton Ninja and I heard Gold actually has weight, so when I do play as a Skeleton Ninja, if there's nothing I can do with Gold I don't see why I should carry it around.

Edit: I also remember seeing the Monocle Item on the Wiki and If I remember correctly it makes anyone who wears it friendly to merchants while also increasing the trading skill but I have no clue how rare the item is considering I never encountered it.

Gold is harder for the monster races to use, but not impossible.
Perhaps if said monsters were to try to polymorph themselves, they might turn into something the merchants might deal with…

Oh I see,
I always assumed the potion of polymorph was random like it is in games like Noita
so I just threw them away at the start cause I had no use for them
though I don't remember it stating it specifically turns you into a Human, might need to check the compendium
