As stated in the 4.1 Life After Death announcement, we're excited to work with you on the creation of quality Barony translations. Currently Barony only officially supports the English language. But intrepid modders have already done an to make Barony a great experience in other languages. We've just released a hotfix to expose Main Menu and Settings text (previously hard-coded in 4.0), which will allow translations to be complete. So that's accessible right now!

If you have previously made a legacy Barony translation mod, and/or you are interested in having your 4.0+ translation being part of the base Barony product, we would love to hear from you!

We currently do not have permission to use any of these translations outside of their mods!
There may also be demand for the following languages, but we are not aware of existing language translation efforts:

We're welcoming wise and dedicated heroes to serve the Barony community by creating a selection of languages with the creation of language mods. By changing the right files (including fonts), most languages can be supported! With your permission, we would like to use your completed language mod so that more players from across the world can enjoy Barony in their native language.

We're a very small team with limited resources, and as a result translations are usually outside our capacity to support. But we receive Emails often from folks looking to make translations so that more people can enjoy playing together, and more requests asking for completed translations! We're eager to support your efforts!

In this discussion, we'll keep track each translation to help reduce redundancy. Our Discord would be the best place to form teams and discuss challenges in realtime, but you're welcome to use this thread to declare your intentions, or link to completed mods.

We currently have no solution to account for this. Barony's log messages, in particular, may use "Mad Libs" style sentence construction, intended for English grammar rules. The best we can suggest right now would be to rewrite these lines so that they are as good as they can be within your language's grammatical constraints.
