Wanted to play this game again but I am now 2 hrs in of dying again and again... how do you get the wings??? This seems nuts kinda sick of playing now. I have made it down to 5+ again and again yet no wings

I only have under 2 hours played and have just recently reached floor 18. I started at the spellsword character, and every level up to 10 i grabbed +2 mana, i'm now going to start getting +1 magic. I beelined my skill points straight to the Transmute spell because i thought i could make money turning a lot of items into artifacts, and then i spent the rest of my skill points in the top tree, max mp, magic, ect.
