Tech Support!
Hey all, if you've any issues with the game, we'll usually ask you to send your log and save files along. This post is a handy guide on where to find those.

1 - where to send them.

Please go to http://support.spookydoorway.com/ and fill in a bug report.

2 - log files.

Depending what OS you're on your log files are in different places:

- Mac: ~/Library/Logs/Unity/Player.log
- Windows: C:\Users\<yourusername>\AppData\LocalLow\Spooky Doorway\The Darkside Detective\output_log.txt
- Linux: ~/.config/unity3d/Spooky Doorway/The Darkside Detective/Player.log

3 - save files.

Again, depends on your OS. If you're unsure what files to send, send them all.

- Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/Spooky Doorway/The Darkside Detective OR ~/Library/Application Support/com.spookydoorway.darkside.osx
- Windows: C:\Users\<yourusername>\AppData\LocalLow\Spooky Doorway\The Darkside Detective
- Linux: ~/.config/unity3d/Spooky Doorway/The Darkside Detective

Please label your mail with a brief summary of your problem and your OS, and go into more detail in the main body. Our tech gremlins will then try to fix it as soon as possible!

NOTE:
If mac users are having a hard time finding their files, the user library may be hidden. Try the following:

- Go to Users, click your own name
- Go to the ‘Go’ menu in the toolbar
- Click the Alt (option) button to reveal hidden folders, and library will now pop up in the dropdown menu.

Hi, I know i'm a moron but I don't understand how to find the log or save file on mac, I can't see anything in steam or when i search finder, could you walk me through it? Or better yet, could you tell me how to move the junction pieces in Tome Alone? Is it just a bug?

Don't worry, the dark ways of Macs are beyond me too. The tile should slide when you click on them, just like this. If they don't, there is an issue so please let us know!

If French translation is released on steam can we expect it for Nintendo Switch ?

We are exploring localisation options at the moment. Any languages that the game gets translated into will also appear on the Switch version, yes.

Maybe I'm just a fool, and messed it up somehow, but when I try to start up the game, all I get is the Spooky Door Logo and nothing else.

Hi there :).

First off, thanks so much for making this game. It has made me laugh aloud so many times!

I reinstalled my computer, and mistakenly assumed the saves would be in the steam cloud. Previously, I had finished all but the last case, and I would love to finish the game. However, as you might understand, I don't feel like replaying most of it to unlock the last one. Had a quick look on google/forms/in the game files, but could not easily find where/how the locking/unlocking of cases is coded. Would it be possible to give me some pointers so I can get access to the content I have not played? Thanks!

P.S. Playing on Linux Xubuntu 18.04 x64, not that that should make a difference to this question ;).
