Upon resting at a bed, a get the following in-game error pop-up: "Failed to connect". "A connection error occurred. Please reconnect to receive your data."

I'm not sure what is causing this. To troubleshoot, I've tried resting at different inns, rebooted my internet connection, and even uninstalled and reinstalled the game. Does anyone know what is causing this error to prevent me from sending hired pawns back correctly/my own pawn being able to be summoned?

Screenshots and proof from the receiving person that me hiring their pawn and sending them back shows me as "Invalid Data"
