IMO - people who like this liked the idea of dark souls open world 3rd person combat but couldnt deal with the learning curve, this seemed similar to them and they played the hell out of it. Didn't realise it was substandard in many ways, as they had no real experience in other good action rpgs at the time and are now what one would consider fanbois. They have a nostalgic place in their heart for this game.
So 2 is advertised and 1 goes on sale. I see it has great reviews and is loved by many but is a flawed game in many ways too. Meh for a fiver its worth a shot, I know if id never tried Dark souls at all and i discovered it for $5 id be over the moon, but i bought this and installed it and its just meh.
Thats where im at.
