Why does this want access to my mic, and if i refuse it access it crashes?

Just installed this and when i launched game it requested access to my microphone. I refused and it promptly crashed the game.

Launched it again, asked me again to use it, this time i allowed it and the game runs fine.

So WTF does the game want with my microphone? And whats it trying to listen to?

That's the first time I've heard of that, and as far as I know, the game doesn't need nor usually want microphone access. I'll check what my installation does...
What system are you on?

Mac OS X latest update
Only happens with this game as well

I am only able to test this with Windows, and it doesn't want mic access. nor was i able to find anything on the topic why it would need that on Mac. My assumption is that something of a default configuration or so snuck through into the build.
Ill notify the community manager, but i have no real throughline to any devs at Daedalic, so i recommend setting the mic input for the game to an unused voice input or so, as a workaround.
