in dessprate need of help

every time i select 2d animation, blender closes, what am i doing wrong? I've never had this problem before. i really wanna do some 2d animations

I'm having trouble replicating this so I can't help much there. However, I may have a workaround. Maybe you could position your camera and draw with grease pencil from your cameras perspective in 3D space until you find a fix for your issue? I think it's mostly the same thing, might be a little annoying since you'll have to set up the ui yourself.

Another option is you could set blender back to the previous version and see if that works. You can do this by:
-> right clicking on Blender in your library
-> clicking "Betas"
-> clicking the dropdown box
-> select your version
I do believe there were changes to grease pencil and 2D animation so it could be the issue. Might be worth a shot.
