computer console breaks at the slightest irregularity

whenever i'm using the computer, it stops working when i do ... just about anything.
if i click up-arrow, it stops working. if i click the popup for password cracking, it doesn't work when i put it back down again, etc. etc. and so on.

just me?

Hi, I'm going to take a look at this and probably add a forced focus on the console each time the password rules are interacted with. It's already supposed to do that on each click, but it doesn't seem to be working properly.
