Full screen quite laggy - switch to lower res
Just wanted to point out that the default full-screen mode on my first gen i7 with a GTX 560 is very stuttery and the protagonist is on ice skates. Changed to a lower (windowed) res and it seems much better.

Yeah, At higher resolutions the game draws a lot more of the screen. Switching down the res in game does definitely help. You should be able to go fullscreen in any resolution though. Thanks for the feedback!

Too much for my 24gb of DDR3 tri-channel RAM I guess!

Sounds like you have a nice rig :) Yeah at 1080p the screen has to draw a lot of tiles and have a lot of events running. It's unfortunately a problem with the RMXP engine that doesn't like to be scaled from it's default 640x480 resolution. For me that is just way too small though!

Oh, I thought the game was made in VX Ace.

Did you go with XP because of the better mapping system or because of something else?

The better mapping system is a big draw but getting VX to tun in 1080 and other resolutions is really hard. It was quite hard in XP tbh, especially getting the engine to recognise the host PCs current resolution. VX is a neat little engine though and I am still working on getting dynamic resolutions on it... I'm just not there yet.

how do i play in window?
Michael  [developer] 20 Aug, 2015 @ 7:51am
Press [esc] during game play and there should be an option to switch to window mode. If your monitor resolution is the same as the resolution you are playing in however this will not appear to work as the window will fill the screen. You need to be playing in a resolution smaller than your screen resolution for this to work!

Wow that fixed all my lag :) no more lag or a bit but not much ahah

Some people are reporting that this reduces lag:

Press F1 in game and turn off 'reduce flickering' - you can also mess with the other options to see if they help
