Could the option screens on what you're considering to say be instant? (Attack, move, tactics, drones and the various submenus). Firstly it makes no sense for things you're considering to say to slide in as if spoken, and secondly, it becomes annoying really really fast.).

It would also help if the feedback messages from your crew didn't require confirmation / delay.

In normal conversations it's nice but this isn't conversation.
