Thinking of picking this up and it sounds like the expansion pack adds lots of cool gameplay features, but the reviews (which are all a few years old) indicate the DLC introduces lots of crashing and performance issues to the game. Is this still the case, or is it safe to get the expansion pack now? Thank you!...

I tried sending out a general with troops to occupy them, after a certain percentage like 15% the general just return with the troops without occupying or taking over the resource outlying town completely.

For some reason the game isnt following historical events like it should. Ive got the settings properly checked but some time after the yellow turbin rebellion and before Dong Zhuo takes over it seems to go wrong. Is this a bug or is there something else going wrong. I havent done anything in game to cause the event not to trigger unless the ai is doing something im not seeing....

So I wrote my own event for this game recently involving several of my created characters. the characters in question are named Bo Wei, Shizi Laode, and Shizi Ming. The event is meant to trigger when Bo Wei becomes the ruler of his own force, which he is set to do by another event. when the event triggers, it is meant to kill Shizi Laode and make Shizi Ming, that characters son, the new ruler of his force. Mainly asking these things because searching discussions doesn't seem to work at the moment. 1. What is the extent that you can "insert" yourself into a faction? For example, can you make a character that is supposed to be the son of Dong Zhuo, then play that character under Dong Zhuo? Will the NPC Dong Zhuo recognize you as his fictional son? 2. Can you, say, be Cao Cao's son and will his other son's recognize you as a brother, etc? Like, will Cao Ang call refer to you as his brother, etc. 3. If you ...
