How to get a better framerate.

Go to launch options and type "-force-opengl" before this change i got 20 - 45 fps and now i get 125 to 200 fps!

Thanks for the pro tip. I just bought it and tried playing my first game and got around 15-25 fps and was actually close to just refunding it. I checked the forum before getting a refund and saw this thread and decided to give it a try, sure enough, I'm getting max fps now and the game is actually playable. You saved a sale.

Thanks very much! You're a real LifeSaver😁I thought there was no hope for this game, although it does run much better on Linux with Proton. I completely forgot about those flags (helped me quite a bit with Half Life 2). I'll mention this tip in my review now, which I'm changing to recommended now🏎

Right click the game. Press Properties and set launch options.

Awesome tip...such a massive increase in framerate...this post should be stickied!

I also enabled vsync in my graphics card control panel for it...butter smooth gameplay now.

This works and it will be even smoother with the multi test beta for me the multi test runs on more FPS than normal

This post is old but I just switched VSync to off under the Nvidia control panel (AMD equivalent) to unlock the frame rate.

For this game, something that simple worked for me.
