Lambda core is incredibly buggy for linux users
Firstly I'm unsure if the reason these hasn't been fixed is it was never posted beyond linux discussions, but these are a 2 year old set of issues that needs addressing, there are 2 bugs, and the only way around them is bug avoidance as there has been no bug fix. I will do these in order of perceived priority, and I am aware that I am repeating what I have said on discord, but I want to make sure that there is an acknowledgement from the devs that they are aware of this, and hopefully, are aiming to fix these issues.

Bug 1:
The main teleportation room (containing 10 teleport entry portals)

Here is my discord post about this:
https://discord.com/channels/592595839600558080/699066708555726878/945508607326289930

And here is the forum thread I found:

These lag spikes are unbearably bad. To have to frequently save and reload the game is completely ridiculous. It takes all enjoyment out of doing that part of the game, and I've spent a couple of hours trying to play with any number of settings from both the in game audio and visual settings, and my GPU.
It is a bug that has persisted for years, and I'm shocked that this game has been released out of beta with this and the next bug, these are gaming breaking. I'm not going to edit my previously positive review (yet) because fair is fair, if something has slipped through the net, even though it shouldn't in the first place, I don't think it'd be a terribly nice thing to do without giving the devs a chance to resolve this.

Bug 2:

My discord post about this:

Forum post I found, which didn't contain a solution:

Once you have the Gluon gun, you go down an elevator, if you go around a corner, get the hound dogs attention, and then double back to the elevator, then during combat (unsure if it's killing them or their attack that causes this) will cause a game breaking error, in fact if I don't shut my computer down immediately (even going into htop, a linux equivalent of task manager, to get the pid and kill the process was too slow and my computer became completely unresponsive (this was in TTY). I had to hold the power button down to turn the system off. Which is again, a terrible terrible error. To avoid the bug you have to do the combat away from the elevator.

Why was this moved from bugs to Linux when clearly when in Linux these threads have not been acted upon? The whole point of putting it in bugs was so that devs would see it…

It's been a week since my last message challenging this being moved, I've received no response, so I'm starting to think that not even mods, let alone devs, actually read the threads in linux.

It is not that we do not read, the fact of the matter is that the team is aware. The issue is that none of us can provide a workaround, let alone a solution, because none of us are Linux pals. It is passed on, though.

Really glad that it’s been passed on because we are talking about game breaking bugs that are years old. The issue wasn’t that I wanted a mod to fix it but I wanted to be sure given the incredible length of time since these were reported that they were fed directly to the dev team. I wouldn’t of wanted that if they were only just being reported for the first time, but you’ve done that now so thank you! :)

It's been a month since I was told this was passed on, and I haven't seen any updates, and I've tested the game. Interestingly bug 2 does not persist in xwayland (I can't speak for normal wayland) but still does persist with x11. I don't really have the motivation to test out bug1 as to restart the level and immediately face the issue that should've been at least acknowledged if not fixed is poor. I'm not blaming the mods, I do believe it was passed on, I just don't believe that it was taken seriously, despite being a game breaking bug. Negative review of the game sadly underway.
