Good to see you getting back on the saddle - welcome back as you have been sorely missed. Nice to see that Sylvio (still one of the best horror games btw) is getting some love again.

woah, great to see you again. i'm floored to see you added a run feature (it was sorely needed lol), but it's awesome to see this game getting a new update with some good fixes. can i ask if it was the development process of sylvio 2 that caused you to burn out? or was it something else?

Good to hear and thanks for the unexpected update. I always loved both Sylvio games, especially the sound design, which now makes sense since you say you're a composer. A lot of developers, especially in horror do not put a lot of detail in sound which is a key component IMO.

I really hope you do end up making another horror game,

Sylvio was outstanding experience, I'm replaying it every couple of years, give or take. I was kinda suspected a burnout, glad you overcame it. Looking forward to your next project!

Thanks for your comments. To answer officer's Q, I simply worked too much for a couple of years, spent all my time alone in a miniature office, and after my self-made crunch that was the whole dev of S2, I crashed. Lesson learnt is that it's good to work with other people, see other people, and make sure to take some time off sometimes.

i'm glad you realized that it's important to remember to take care of yourself when working on an ambitious project. Sylvio 2 was lacking in a lot of areas where the first game succeeded imo. i'll probably give it another shot, because i never really proceeded past the first level that wasn't on the boat.

Hey! Thanks a bunch! I remember Sylvio being a little janky, so I put my playthrough on the backburner. Now I'm definitely gonna stream some Sylvio gameplay and recommend my viewers check it out on Steam.

I actually... did not realize there was a Sylvio 2, haha. Will look at that sometime, and I'm all for more Dread X content.

Wow! According to Steam the last time I played this was in October of 2015! I guess it's going to be like playing a brand new game for me!:steamhappy:

When Sylvio 2 didn't recieve the same treatment and sales the first one did, and you quit, I was so sad. Loved both games (2 possibly even more than 1 - just for the utterly surreal combination of the overworld and underground spaces) for their subtle approach to the unsettling. Your work is awesome. Welcome back.

Sweet.. Coincidentally I just installed Sylvio on the steamdeck last night. Great to see it receiving an update andd Fingers crossed for a possible Sylvio 3 :engineercat:
